Janesh Lakhoo, MD

Dr. Janesh Lakhoo obtained his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, then completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He also holds an MS in Clinical and Translational Science form the UIC School of Public Health in Chicago, IL.

In his practice, Dr. Lakhoo’s guiding principle is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that respects each person’s goals, values, and concerns. He seeks to be balanced and evidence-based in his approach, prioritizing thoughtful decision making over unnecessary intervention and focusing on what is truly needed to ensure the best outcome with the least risk.

Dr. Lakhoo has clinical expertise in thoracic duct embolization, thoracic and lumbar kyphoplasty, genicular artery embolization, uterine fibroid embolization, multiple venous interventions, and in the treatment of vascular malformations, pelvic venous congestion, vulvar varices, and portal hypertension. He also specializes in interventional oncology and musculoskeletal procedures. Additionally, he serves as Chief of Radiology at North Austin Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Medicine at Dell Medical School.

Originally from South Africa, Dr. Lakhoo enjoys travelling and reading. He is also a foodie and a proud dog dad.
