General Austin Information

Traveling to Austin

  • Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)
    Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is a state-of-the-art airport with 25 gates, full customs facilities ready for the international traveler, TSA Pre-Check, Border Protection’s Global Entry program, and more. Easy to get to (only 9 miles from the ARA Midtown Clinic) and easy to get through, passengers enjoy free Wi-Fi (for up to 90 minutes), art exhibits, local food (from breakfast tacos to brisket and Shiner Bock beer), and live music performances. The airport has approximately 350 daily flights with nonstop service to 70+ domestic and international destinations. Visit Website
  • Driving
    The ARA Midtown outpatient imaging center is easily accessible by automobile, located in Central Austin, on W 38th Street, between Interstate Highway 35 and Texas State Highway Loop 1/Mopac.

  • Traveling from Austin-Bergstrom Airport
    The most direct route from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is via Airport Blvd. Get on Highway 71 W from the airport. Take US-183N/S Hwy 183, Airport Blvd. and E 38th 1/2 St to the clinic. The clinic will be on your left.

  • Traveling North on U.S I35
    Heading north into the city of Austin on US I35, take exit 236. Take Red River St to E 38th Street. The clinic will be on your left.

  • Traveling South on U.S. I35
    Heading south into the city of Austin on US I35, take exit 236B. Turn right onto E 40th Street, left on Red River Street, and then right again on E 38th Street. The clinic will be on your left.

  • Traveling North on Highway 1 (Mopac)
    Follow TX-1 Loop/Mopac North to W 35th St. Exit. Continue on W 35th St and merge onto W 38th St. The clinic will be on your right.

  • Traveling South on Highway 1 (Mopac)
    Follow TX-1 Loop/Mopac South and exit at the 35th St. Exit toward Camp Mabry. Keep right at the fork and merge onto W 35th St. Continue on W 35th St. and merge onto W 38th St. The clinic will be on your right.

Parking

A parking garage is conveniently located at our Midtown imaging center. Enter the parking garage to the center at 901 W 38th St (Midtown Medical Building) from 38th St. Once you park, you will need to take the stairs or elevator in the parking garage down to the first floor. We are located down the hallway to the left.

Transportation Options

Ride share: Passengers traveling to Austin can use a rideshare app. Companies that currently service Austin are:

 

Taxis: Several taxi services operate at the airport. The minimum fare for taxi customers is $13.80, including a $2.50 airport surcharge. All taxis have a four-passenger maximum, excluding children 12-years and under. All taxis accept major credit cards.
