Ian D. McLoughlin, MD

Dr. Ian McLoughlin is an experienced interventional radiologist with clinical expertise in a wide range of procedures, including pulmonary embolism thrombectomy, DVT treatment, arterial venous malformation treatment, prostate and uterine artery embolization, and many general minimally invasive interventions. Dr. McLoughlin is passionate about helping people be better versions of themselves, including improving their health and ability to do the things they love.

After completing his medical studies at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. McLoughlin pursued an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, and a residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in interventional radiology at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He also holds an MS in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. McLoughlin is currently the Chair of Seton Network Imaging and of Ascension Seton Williamson Department of Radiology.

Dr. McLoughlin’s parents are from Dublin, Ireland, where he spent many of his summers and holidays, but he was born in Accra, Ghana, and grew up in Southern California after emigrating to the US in 1980. He and his wife have three children and love international travel, working through a long list of destinations. He also loves the outdoors, especially hiking.
