Since 1954, ARA has been a leader in imaging services in central Texas. For more than 50 years, ARA has committed itself to innovation and invests in the latest technology to provide the highest quality of care to referring physicians and patients. Today, ARA is one of the largest providers of outpatient imaging in central Texas. Since 2001, ARA has led the nation in filmless outpatient imaging.
ARA’s Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is one of the largest and most sophisticated digital communications systems in the world. Through ARA’s PACS, radiologists, other physicians and hospitals can have immediate, secure access to patients' images and image interpretation anywhere, anytime.

In an emergency, time can be the difference between life and death. ARA’s PACS system gets the information to the people that need it when they need it. You can count on ARA.

Our 70 radiologists include physicians with subspecialty training in interventional radiology, diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology, body imaging, mammography and women’s imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, nuclear medicine and pediatric radiology. Our promise of excellence is evident in our 14 outpatient imaging centers, extending from Round Rock to San Marcos, ensuring patients’ access to all modalities in outpatient medical imaging.
