Our outpatient Imaging Centers are staffed with highly qualified technologists. All radiologic technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as well as by the Department of State Health Services. In addition to basic ARRT credentials, many of our staff have advanced credentials in Mammography, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and Quality Management.
They are trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) and in use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). Continued medical education and advanced credentialing are strongly encouraged in all areas. ARA also works closely with Austin Community College’s technologist school, providing instruction and training for its students.
Nurses and Paramedics
ARA registered nurses (RNs) and paramedics are required to have a Texas license/certification, Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, training in the use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and training in the use of conscious sedation.
These professionals form a highly qualified team that is focused on providing the safest medical care to all our patients. With them, ARA is able to offer a variety of services such as conscious sedation for adults and children, medication for contrast allergies, and access for implanted catheters.
